Healthcare and Education
Several initiatives have been taken in the field of healthcare and education with regular efforts to improve the overall healthcare scenario and educational facilities for the marginalized, less privileged, and deprived and the deserving. Many educational institutions have received honours for their high quality standard of education.
The Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital (Aurangabad) offers a wide range of medical services free/subsidized to the underprivileged. The Kamalnayan Bajaj Institute for Research in Vision & Ophthalmology (Chennai) is one of the largest facilities in Asia. The Anti-Retroviral Treatment (ART) Centre at Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital in Pimpri, Pune helps HIV/AIDS patients in association with National Aids Control Organization. The Society for the Rehabilitation of Crippled Children (SRCC) provides medical and rehabilitation facilities for disabled and congenitally deformed children.
The Kamalnayan Bajaj Nursing College (KBNC) offers a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc).The Institute of Gandhian Studies (Wardha) offers a variety of courses, trainings, and counseling and evaluation services. The Bajaj Science Centre (2008) offers hands-on learning and training opportunities and promotes basic science education among students. The Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) offers Masters programme in Management Studies, to develop quality management thinkers and practitioners for Indian business and industry and currently runs specialized course in business ethics, ranking amongst the top 25 business schools in the Asia-Pacific region. Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) and the Postgraduate Department of Management, SNDT Women’s University focus on providing professional and management education for women. The Shiksha Mandal (Wardha) has eight colleges at Wardha, Nagpur, and Jabalpur offering high standards of education at low cost combining with value systems. The Gandhi Gyan Mandir (Wardha) conceived by Shri Jamnalal Bajaj houses a public library having a valuable collection of multi-language Gandhian literature. Shri Jamnalal Bajaj published the first Gita teachings and its Marathi version in 1930. The Jamanalal Bajaj Sewa Trust runs Balwadi (pre-school) and Bal Sanskar Kendra for underprivileged children. Ramkrishna Bajaj Sanskrit Bhavan offers facilities in teaching and research and aims to popularise Sanskrit. Banasthali Vidyapith is a centre of learning for girls from nursery to doctorate level. The Jamnalal Bajaj School of Legal Studies focuses on legal, constitutional and human rights. IIT-Powai, Mumbai is also supported for setting up a state-of-the-art Rahul Bajaj Innovation Centre.
