Kumud and Madhur Bajaj

Mr. Madhur Bajaj is the recipient of the ‘Vikas Rattan’ Award from the International Friendship Society of India, for enriching human life and outstanding achievements. He has more than 29 years of experience in a number of sectors including in the auto, consumer durables and financial services.

He is the Past President of SIAM, the apex association of Indian automobile manufacturers as also the Past President of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA), the apex Industries Association of Pune.

While he has been CII’s Western Region Chairman, he is the current National Council Member of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

He is a Director and Non-Executive Vice Chairman of Bajaj Auto Limited – a leader in the motorized 2 and 3-wheeler sectors. He is also the Chairman of Maharashtra Scooters Limited, besides being Director of Bajaj Electricals Limited, Bajaj Finance Limited and several other companies of the Bajaj Group.

Mrs. Kumud Bajaj is the Founder Trustee of Nath Valley school which is set aesthetically in a 20-acre campus approx. 5 kms from the railway station near the hills surrounding the historical city of Aurangabad. She started the school in the year 1990 along with other citizens of Aurangabad and served as a Vice chairperson till 1993 and as a Chairperson from 1993 till 1997. Nath Valley school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education for Secondary as well as Senior Secondary Examinations. It has at present classes I to XII. The school aims to promote excellence in education in every sense of the terms and has a qualitative educational approach based on modern International norms. During her tenure as a Chairperson of the school, the school became known for its impartiality regarding race, religion and political favouritism. Under the leadership and guidance of Mrs. Bajaj, Nath Valley school evolved itself from a small school to one of the highly reputed school in India.

Besides being a director of Hind Musafir Travel Agency (An IATA certified travel agency in the business of ticketing, hotel reservation, Visas, passport, MICE customized holidays, event management etc.) Mrs. Bajaj is also a Trustee and Chairperson of a 250 bedded- Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital (from 1999 till date) located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra which was started by group of Doctors and Industrialist together in 1980’s and is run and funded by MMRI (Marathwada Medical Research Institute) a charitable Trust. Under the guidance and support of Mrs. Kumud Bajaj, KB Hospital has, over two decades, established itself as the hospital of first choice to thousands of patience from all over Maharashtra.
