Sanjiv Bajaj on how financial services can help India emerge as a developed economy
In an exclusive interview with Economic Times, Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv Limited and President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) says “We need many more banks, many more NBFCs. Look at what insurance has done. Today there are over 50 insurance companies while it was four 20 years ago and insurance has grown manifold. Even then, we do not have enough access but it is a lot more than where we were 20 years ago”.
He further elaborates and stressed upon the four parameters that need to be enhanced for growth and expansion of the Insurance sector in India.
