Viacom18 gets the right to broadcast Ultimate Table Tennis
Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) has teamed up with Viacom18 to broadcast its upcoming 2024 season, scheduled to be held in Chennai from August 22 to September 7. The partnership allows fans to watch the league for free on JioCinema and on the Sports18 Network. This collaboration marks the second consecutive year between UTT and Viacom18. As UTT enters its fifth season, the franchise-based league will showcase 17 days of matches in English and Hindi.
Launched in 2017 under the Table Tennis Federation of India, UTT has significantly raised the profile of table tennis in India. Notably, the league has played a role in India’s qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani, UTT co-promoters, expressed their enthusiasm about the partnership with Viacom18, emphasizing their joint commitment to expanding the sport’s reach in India. Viacom18’s extensive sports broadcasting capabilities will ensure seamless coverage of UTT 2024, building on the excitement following the Olympics.
